This language was intentional--it places Indigenous peoples in B.C. as threats to the lands of innocent settlers, which is a misrepresentation of the Haida agreement, and also a DARVO tactic that ignores the history of land theft in B.C.
The decision to litigate versus negotiate is strategic. It allows discussions to become mired in circular arguments around settler property versus Crown land versus Indigenous lands, and creates openings for settler moves to innocence regarding land ownership that obscure Indigenous rights.

In fact, a lot of the teaching I do is about questioning assumptions (including my own - I actively model the patterns of maintaining curiosity about my ideas and conclusions) and not simply nodding along with what kids say or what we read and learn about from others. We interrogate everything.
Teaching is relational. You have to meet the student and try to know them as a person to support their learning from where they are. AI can't do that. AI also can't set clear and safe boundaries that protect the learning AND psychological well-being (of both parties). AI is the worst yes-man.
