i felt like the human missteps were much more believable here than in Prometheus and its followups. like in the original ALIEN, these are regular working joes with no reason to expect that they'll have to deal with these horrors but yeah, it all gets a bit *too* believable nowadays, eh?
we learn some really big story details in this episode that either confirm suspicions or alter assumptions, but it also tells a full story without feeling like a dutiful prequel
it's a real accomplishment to craft an episode that works as both a fully realized independent narrative and a chapter that moves the series story ahead
