Still holding out hope for new full seasons somehow, even if I know that's probably delusional.
For most of the earlier episodes, it wasn't so bad, but the cursed meme quality started being a little hard to ignore around the New Year episode. The opening looks amazing, which just makes the less pretty bits more obvious.
The pacing was also a little off, and I missed how much of the court action we saw in previous seasons. The voice acting was great as always, and the music in it is probably my favourite of all the seasons, and I genuinely like how more people got tiny bits of the spotlight.
Watching S4 of Haikyuu!! and no matter how hard I try to ignore it, and despite knowing about the production issues it had, I still struggle through watching some of the episodes because it's so subpar after S1-3 (especially S3). I'm fine with the new art style, but the quality is frustrating.

I was so upset to find out that he died. To be killed in such a cruel way just for wanting the most basic thing—a fair chance at dignified living.
The 'let them eat cake' of it all is really something. A young man doing a very, very hard job protesting to stop parliamentarians dining out on his and his community's taxes and was killed for it. You almost can't think about it; it's too raw.
Update: she has mildly inflamed gums, which was exactly what I expected. It wasn't her usual doctor today because her usual doc was attending to a rather rambunctious poodle in a diaper, so when she had her claws clipped she got a bit spicy (she's usually very sweet at the vet)
Of course the day I have to get her into the pet carrier is the one day this week she decides she doesn't want to sleep in it for most of the afternoon

She doesn't seem like she's in pain, based on the feline pain chart, and she does eat but only when she realises I'm not switching her food out to churu or something. The weather has been gloomy and she does tend to get moody with it, but she's old-ish so I'm being cautious.

I feel like the over-localisation of English subs to be more familiar to Americans is so typical of the cultural hegemony, and I can almost tell when a fic or fanart is made by someone who exclusively watches in English dub. Sometimes the tells are obvious, like depicting a character that is—
—so school years in high school would be first, second and third instead of freshman or whatever (not everyone knows what a fucking "sophomore" is!!!!!!!!!! And using junior and senior to both indicate the second and third year AND as translations for kouhai and senpai is just confusing).
Meanwhile even back in the relatively dark ages of fansubs you had colour-coded subs, subs on different parts of the screen, subs for song lyrics, thought bubbles, shop signs/posters, and cultural context. Because of all this, most subs wouldn't be so Americanised—
Formatting was another, although I'm noticing some streaming companies are now better about it. When I was doing subs, we were limited to two lines at the bottom on the screen, a very low character limit per line, no scroll, and single colour, even if multiple people were talking at the same time.

Crunchyroll started as a piracy website that would steal the work of fansub groups and lock it behind paywalls, which caused Fansub groups to literally encode messages during the "Brought to you in part by these sponsors" segments, warning viewers that if you paid for the subs, you got scammed

It's kinda corny but I really do like the whole "worthless pride" insult because of how Oikawa later referred to it when they met post-timeskip, and I also like what Oikawa said about how a murder of crows working together could take down a single big white eagle. Drama King Oikawa is peak.

Some housing areas have playgrounds and parks but they're fenced up and only accessible to the people who live in those areas. I remember seeing a photo of a park in a housing area, literally right behind some low-cost flats, but the people from the flats can't go to them.
