If someone said to me and offered me that scenario, I would still always assume to be a guest in their home. I’ve never felt like I have full entitlement anywhere that isn’t “my own”, if that makes sense. I’ve seen my Greencard as a luxury permit.
TBH, I’m on a green card and have always described myself as a “guest”. If I do something shitty, I wouldn’t be shocked to be sent back home. I don’t feel like I’ve thought or said anything wrong regarding this? And the only “permanent “ residents in my home are my family.

Similar here, though I admit I question the need for the Visas at all. I would prefer a solid commitment from companies to look at local hires as much as able and to offer training etc to US workers.
