I think we are starting to see the realities aren't we. Privatisation has one single purpose. To assure that the service is sold to citizens for a healthy profit. Nationalised services are able to forgo profit for the greater good of people. Thats why capitalists try to kill national services.

Totally does but our government are somewhat complicit. We write laws that encourage we teach accountancy practice that insists on it and we let accounts auditors and book keepers be liberal with the laws and the rules. We create exit strategies for the wealth through our city and hope no one sees.

Richard I saw your rant at how we are diminished by the wealth groups it was honest and forthright. A wealth tax seems appealing and please do try. BUT the glaring corruption is the lack of collection of the circa £40bln in taxes that are just not recovered. Why do we not change laws to fix this?

Are you aware we also pay a part of collected council tax for road repairs. When was that snuck in. Do you remember when it was just rates and it paid for rubbish removal and water services, then the separated water rates so we paid more. Then the poll tax when we paid more got nothing for it...

Before our state/government own up. I am pretty sure no citizens in need signed up to becoming a profit making product. I think they all just wanted care. All expected the required care as they had seen for decades in the UK paid for by workers in their NI payments. Now we also pay for it in taxes..
They are all charities Syd. Don't think anyone is decrying this paid care as the idea of charity is that it is not profit making specifically Its specific mission is the attention to their subject. Not income for shareholders. We have got to get back to social care, given in the community by carers

We should simply ban 'for profit' care of our citizens. Wherever it occurs, children, elderly, disabled, mental, illness. The idea we pay a company a 40% markup for care of our people has been normalised rather than insisting that the nation care for them properly and not make them a product.
