I think generally speaking, shortages of drivers, poorly located schools, distance limits on who *can* ride the bus to cut costs, and long routes keep a lot of parents for utilizing buses, are issues. In this case, it seems mostly to be parent preference. Buses seem to be available to families.

If the Democratic party has lost *me*, the problem is not progressive voters being swayed by nefarious actors online. It's that the Democratic party has been so swayed by big donors, consultants, and the media, they've disconnected from themselves from their core values and core voters.
And to be clear: that's pretty much the ONLY messaging I've heard from Democrats since November 2024. They have no platform, no goals, no principles. Just endless running from fights and begging for money from people they keep giving the middle finger.
Democrats not only have zero interest in listening to anything I, or people like me, have to say, but also they see my views, my principles, and my goals as running counter to their own aims. If they keep telling me I'm a liability, WHY SHOULD I VOTE FOR THEM?
I keep seeing a certain brand of centrist on here claiming that progressives are falling for divisive rhetoric intended to keep us from voting, but the only divisive rhetoric influencing me right now is the messaging the Democratic party keeps aiming at voters exactly like me.
I'm tired of showing up for every election, no matter how small, to vote for folks who keep moving further to the right and routinely scold engaged, reliable Democratic voters like me for being mad about it. For expecting them to have principles. For expecting them to actually HELP people.
I'm tired of being told Democrats' problem is that progressives' purity tests are too pure, and that we just need to get over ourselves and our ideals, expect little, and vote blue. Somehow this logic never applies to those who won't vote for Democrats because Dems might know what a pronoun is.
Have they condemned Israel's ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from the occupied territories? Nope. In fact, they've joined Republicans in condemning protests of Israel's actions--and US support of them--as "antisemitism" and even go along with crackdowns on first amendment rights on these grounds.
Have Democrats done anything about attacks on voting rights across red states? No. When Texas legislators fled to DC to get support, they had to beg to get anyone from the national party to meet with them.
Have Democrats had anything to say about attacks on free speech, academic freedom, or attacks on research that violate the ideological purity of the right-wing authoritarians in charge? Nope.
Are they willing to defend the most vulnerable in our society? Ethnic, racial, and religious minorities, LGBT folks, unhoused people? Nope. Do they have any sort of actual roadmap to restore reproductive rights in the US? Do they care about women at all? Given their endorsements of Cuomo...no.
I just can't figure out what the Democrats' value proposition is. Are they fighting Trump's attacks on democracy? No. Are they protesting Trump's human rights abuses, with masked, badgeless thugs kidnapping people off the streets? No. Do they have a coherent economic agenda? Also no.
I just don't understand what I'm supposed to be voting for if the standard Democratic position is "we're happy to argue some people shouldn't exist so long as they're powerless enough for us to get away with it."
Also the only performative LARPing happening here is Democrats vice signaling to win over right-wing voters by raiding homeless encampments, attacking trans people, calling for more cops in cities where Trump has deployed the military, and years of immigration crackdowns and deportation sprees.
My guess is the actual reason Democrats lose elections is because they spend all their time listening to what consultants and major donors whisper in their ear, or clutching their pearls over right wing media, instead of caring what THEIR OWN VOTERS want.
