New Fire Emblem was a pleasant surprise. Dragon Quest VII remaster had some of the ugliest characters I’ve ever seen, but otherwise looked great. DK DLC, Mario Wonder DLC looked great. Metroid Prime 4 looks INSANE! Virtual Boy is very funny. I give that direct a 6/10
The combat rules, the game looks amazing, the story is surprisingly compelling, solid characters, and great exploration. It’s a fantastic metroidvania.
I really liked that game a whole bunch.

Alien Earth is great as long as you can accept that they just let all of these incredibly precious robot kids and alien specimens go completely unmonitored 98% of the time. It’s great even if you can’t accept that, but holy shit no one pays attention to anything at all ever in this show.
Mine will be interested for about 2 minutes, and she doesn’t ever really want to play anything. But she asks me to play Silksong so she can watch.
My kid loves watching me play Silksong, which is wild because she’s never cared about any of the games I play. She thinks Hornet is pretty and she was immediately obsessed with her.
Sword of the Sea is probably better, but I do recommend Herdling when you’re looking for a palette cleanser.
If it played even half as good as Hades I’d play it dozens of hours.

I had the same experience with Hollow Knight but eventually pushed through and got to where I loved it. I agree, Silksong is much more welcoming at the start. But so far, it is wonderfully similar to Hollow Knight in all the right ways.

This is why Xbox should have had a major surge in console market share with the Series S, but they fell apart in other ways, and also people have been bitching about the Series S, which is an all around solid console, since it was announced.
Twisted Metal Season 2 is even better than the first season, which was already great. This show is so good! You should all be watching.

Been playing a lot of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, which I hadn’t played since I was a kid, and so beat Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade recently. Just frickin’ masterpieces, man. They’ve stood the test of time and are still so damn good.
