This is the first picture I ever took of it at the dealer. Look at that blue pop! I love it.

Picked up the 2025 Equinox EV in Riptide Blue today. I also took a couple photos of it when I first picked it up then a couple of more artsy photos with it at golden hour along the way home from the dealer. What a great car, I really love this color!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Hell yeah! I love it! That is my favorite body style of the 1st generation LH cars.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Yeah I read about some software troubles they went through with the 2024s. Most I read about seemed to be fixed with a screen reset. This hopefully won't have those problems, but we'll see. It'll be under warranty the entire time we are leasing it, so whatever.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
That's fair! There's a teal with white roof C10 on the local Facebook marketplace and I love the look.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I have not seen one with the white roof in person but in photos I am not a fan - plus it added cost, so I avoided it when seeking lease deals. I do like the black roof with red.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
What surprised me about the Equinox EV is how normal and extremely usable the size is, with tons of interior room in a package that is not huge on the outside. It's just a wagon masquerading as an SUV.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Yeah, I found a good deal on a black one, but without options we wanted & black is boring - I think especially boring on the Equinox EV because it has black trim that looks good on colors. We've never "bought" a new car before & given the opportunity it seemed a shame not to get a color.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Even as a Mopar muscle guy I've always loved these in WS6 form. Especially in a color other than black.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Definitely. My Hemi 300C is so much fun. I can't even imagine the trouble I would get into with a Hellcat!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I would never have optioned a car with 3 year Sirius because I can generally get them to give it to me for less, but the lease is 3 years and we're getting enough of a discount to more than offset that cost.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
That's an actual "manufacturer generated" photo of our car with our options. It's a FWD LT2, Riptide Blue w/ Black interior. Options: Convenience Package II, Panoramic Sunroof, All-weather Protection Package, 3 Year Sirius, Dual Level Charger, & DC to CCS Charger adapter. All for a great price!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I like the exterior of the EV6 a lot, but I really dislike the interior. I could have lived with it if she liked it, but she hated it. We were really impressed with the Equinox EV. Good size and packaging, it's really just a wagon being marketed as an SUV and I love wagons!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
That's a 93-97 Concorde, but likely a 96-97 as it appears to be platinum metallic, a 96 & 97 only color. The 1998-2004 Concorde was the second generation.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
Is an Equinox EV weird enough for #weirdcarbs? I don't know, but I just finalized a pretty great lease deal on one for my wife! Pick up is this weekend, and I'll get to take my first long EV road trip back home with it - about 400 miles!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes, I've seen them around here as well and I've seen at least one listed for sale on local FB marketplace, white like that one. They're cool to see for the rarity but I like the E Class wagon better.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Love that!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
Wash day for my daily drivers. I love this 300C. It might not be as "rare" as my 300M Special was, but I love every minute I spend with it. Now that my 300M Special sold, I've got plans for this 300C!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Hmm, more forgotten than the "SS"? I suppose.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
This is not my best parking job or photo, but I love this damn car.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
Sold, sold, sold! To a very good friend and 300M Enthusiasts Club member at the Carlisle All Chrysler Nationals! It will now live in South Carolina!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Thanks! I will miss it but I am proud of what I built with it!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Thanks! It was my vision for a really great daily driver 300M Special executed! There are a lot of very rare and hard to find LH parts on this car, including the 300M Pro Am edition two tone seats!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
This is still available. It will be at the Carlisle All Chrysler Nationals in Pennsylvania this coming weekend.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I don't think so!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I love green in all shades and with all interior colors but this works great together.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
Hell yes to this Viper spec! Originally shared by @yepitsconner.bsky.social on the other place.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I don't know how a married suburban dad with kids and seemingly a decent job as an asset manager has so much anger, but I don't understand how the electorate in the US voted for a morally decrepit jerk (again) for the highest executive officer either, so I'm out of touch.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I don't know the back story on him. I thought he'd chilled out during the last presidency, but the attitude really came back with the election.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
It's really a shame because Mike and I share a lot of car opinions and I enjoyed those discussions. But there's seemingly no other opinion we share and our politics are dead opposite.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I'm sure he's lectured against it. Plus, he's paying for the hellsite, so he posts to get engagement there and that isn't available here.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Klotz? I blocked him the day after the election. Couldn't take it anymore.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Car Twitter is not the same but it's not the worst part of it. You have to block at will and ignore the political stuff pushed on you by the algorithm. I am still there for football news and thus still see things there. I prefer it here, though.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
It was roughly 20 years ago but I definitely saw one, and it was a Waltrip edition for sure as I remember the graphics and wheels! It must have been dealer installed into one of these, which makes sense.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Were these all supercharged? I recall many years ago reading about a supercharged version of the g1 Tundra and I thought this was it.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Damn!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
Ventilated seats are really great on a muggy 88 degree day.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
The EQS reminds me a bit my beloved Chrysler LH cars, especially the Dodge Intrepid. I don't like enough else about it to buy one, but I get some "3rd gen Intrepid" vibes from it.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
It seems like a good idea to me. Trucks are so expensive now that most new buyers finance them for long periods of time. This gives them coverage for that time. I am interested to see how it affects used Rams and whether they'll be traded in less often.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
This is a great example!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
It's time! I've owned and daily driven LH cars for 20 years. Now that I bought my 2019 300C, I'm selling my 3 300M Specials, but I'm keeping my 2 Intrepids - my green 2002 ES and my red 2000 R/T. The green Intrepid is my first car and will be mine forever!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Of course! I considered some kind of bronze decals or stripes on it for years, but I never could come up with anything I really liked the concept of...
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Thank you! There are nicer ones in the 300M Club, but this is an excellent daily driver example.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Thanks, Dennie! This car is not perfect, but it is an excellent example for daily driving, which is what it's been for me for years now.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I have seen some done well in that style in the GMT800 Facebook groups.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
Is anyone looking to add a beautiful Chrysler 300M Special to their life? My 2004 with 159,000 miles is for sale. It has been owned by enthusiast owners it's entire life, with an extensive service history during my years of ownership. Details here: 300mclub.org/forums/viewt...
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
If I had unlimited funds and space I'd own a long bed 4th Gen Ram lowered like this with a sport truck vibe.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
I really enjoy taking pictures of this car. I really should have gone out about 25 minutes before this and taken advantage of golden hour, but oh well.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
No I don't. But, there are two I think are pretty neat looking: the Cayenne Coupe and the Atlas Cross Sport. However, that's not enough to make me buy either one given they are less practical.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
This car is just a pleasure to drive. A perfect blend of power, comfy ride, and handling when I want it.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Thank you! I love these wheels.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Nope. By 2019 they only put the Hemi in the RWD cars.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
Welcome to the fleet, 2019 Chrysler 300C Hemi. I've wanted one forever, & though I drove tons of other stuff that I liked, I just kept coming back to the 300C as what I wanted for a daily sedan. This is a Bright White on Mocha example with 78k in great shape that I got for a great price. I love it.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
Tomorrow is my Hemi day. And then all the days after that... 😁
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Fuck. Yes. What a spec. I would drive this for as long and as many miles as possible. (I love the Flying Spur.)
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
One of them, yes. As opposed to the longer Intrepid, and much longer Concorde and LHS.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Wow that's frustrating. I texted my salesman this morning and he said "Doesn't look like it'll be today." I already paid for it, why are we waiting?
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I like having a dining room. It was something my wife & I both wanted, though we preferred one open to the rest of the house rather than a closed separate room. The house we bought has it open to the living room & next to the kitchen. I suppose it isn't needed if you have an eat in kitchen. We don't
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Love it! Chrysler built European 300Ms! We have many European member owners in the Chrysler 300M Enthusiasts Club!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
Buying a car is annoying. Now that I've finally made my decision, I just want the damn car already. I paid for it yesterday. But instead of getting it then or today it looks like I've got to wait until Monday. Boo.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I would proudly drive any one of them!

2019 300C Hemi. Stone White with Mocha interior.

I have a very difficult time with the idea of serious depreciation. So even though I would love to own a brand new car that no one else has driven, I just can't bring myself to spend (and lose in depreciation) that much money.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
New to me. Fair point.

I forgot about the XLR-V. That photo makes me want to go buy one.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I'm not saying that most K cars were great looking (some of the derivatives were though), but I thought that the 600 was a pretty handsome car.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Somehow I got logged out of here. I watched that on BAT. I was surprised it sold for less than the guy bought it for, but it did need a water pump and timing belt.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Nope. House confirmed it needed a new roof via a spot on the dining room ceiling. Roof (+gutters) cost as much as the A6. Decided to wait a while, but I'm still looking and the GC scratches my Mopar itch. I'm daily'ing my Tahoe, but I'm about to pull my 300M Special back out & will drive that often.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Congratulations! I've been perusing Hemi GCs as a possible new daily driver. Love that spec!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Looks delicious!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Wow, that looks like Bermuda Blue that GM painted the Tahoe, Suburban, and Silverado (close cousin of Riptide Blue on the Escalade). It's my favorite color on the GMT800. I didn't realize they painted the SSR that color. Looks great!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Ha, that and Guinness so that all the Irish folk feel at home in Southie! (I'm part Irish)
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes, when they got the naming rights in 2005 I looked up what TD stood for and laughed. Most people in the area just call it The Garden, though... or if they're from Southie, Tha Gahden.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I love these. I've never driven one, but I would like to!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
57 Chevys! I don't hate them, but I don't get excited when I see one - because there's 15 more at every show.

I love them all and Craig and Connery are superb, but my favorite Bond is either Moore or Brosnan.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent

Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I really want a CT-6 V or a CT-6 Platinum with the Blackwing V8, but I am afraid they'll be hard to maintain because it's a unique motor. The rest of the current sedans seem small to me. Also, I am a big fan of Kate Walsh and so I adored her commercials for the CTS.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I have no problem when people go explore other opportunities, but I don't understand why people can't have the decency to let you know they're no longer around/going to be around.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
Just in case anyone was wondering what you're missing over on the hell scape... This is an ad I was served tonight.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I agree. And they made them (1) w/ a 400hp twin turbo 6, (2) in good colors, including that maroon, (3) w/ good colored interiors like that blue, & (4) w/ really great options. Unfortunately what I have found in considering buying one is that it is very hard to get the combination of all 4 above.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social)
Good lord.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I haven't made any specific decision. I may buy something completely different. Just wanted to see what the internet thought!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Lol at answering with a car I didn't ask about, but fair enough. Too bad they cheapend the interior in the most recent generation.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
This is true. This was my mistake. I thought that only the 4cyl was available in RWD here, but I see now from searching that this is not the case.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
No way. That generation Malibu was one of the most boring cars of its time. It's an ok color though!
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
You're right, apparently. I've never known anyone who had the RWD, but I live in snow country. My apologies, I stand corrected.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Interesante.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Better than the A7? Hmm. I have a good friend with a Stinger, but the A7 seems like so much more car.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I mean it's totally fine that you like the Stinger, but it's not RWD in the 3.3 V6 spec, at least not in the US.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
Interesting. So in the UK they have the BMW rep from the US.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
The 365hp version is AWD.
Ryan R. Severance (@rrsesquire.bsky.social) reply parent
I respect that, but I don't think either car is the right car for one.
