I remember the tumblr purge ban really did a lot of damage and having to deal with a ton of porn bot followers. especially being a reblog of art tutorials and some artwork. Seen quite a few popular art tutorial blogs communities disappear after that.

I've seen a lot of this happening on social media, as well on other art sites. It's really kind of sad that people think that way since there's quite a difference between a hobby and a business for art.

Seeing about twitter being banned in brazil and new users that was using twitter coming here is quite understandable. Also for those from there. there is no algorithm here. So you can tailor what you want to find here.
Also what bothers me is why most folks don't branch out and spread out to other places. Twitter has been going downhill for years now. And this isn't just one place there's been a lot of changes on the web and not in a good way.

That's reasonable i've seen so many things that can go wrong.
Dead by daylight would work well with FNAF considering it's horror genre.

I've never seen ads on X on the site before considering i have those blocked with ublock origin. but the obnoxious blue checkmark stuff that gets posted is completely ridiculous especially when it's not relevant to your interests at all. I hardly even use twitter/X over the years.
I remember this era it really made you have to find things as well as chat and learn with others.
In about three hours the monthly artfight event will start manage to get bookmarks and refs of folks to attack in the past two weeks considering knowing the site will be down when the event starts.
That quite neat even if you can't use it for too long.
Well since this year Artfight theme is reveled i'll be participating this will be my 4th year so it'll be interesting to see what i'll get to draw who this year.
Wasn't expecting this year artight would be Seaform & Stardust. This is going to be interesting to participate for the 4th time now.

Unfortunately that kind of behavior really came from places like tumblr before the adult ban really spreaded that kind of mindeset.
I'm not really surprised especially if anyone watched quiet on the set the dark side of kids tv there were some really shocking things you could get away with back then.
Also have to bring this up that social media isn't the only place to grow there are still art gallery sites to start out with.

I've been wondering myself why i've don't see many people make their own websites, or branch out to other places to expand. especially with what has been happening lately. I remember lots of mini sites and pages from the geocities days as well as webrings.

I think i know what your talking about but i think i remember something about this but forgot the name of the title.
A drawing of my kobold character based off the hero forge model did this on feb 29 leap year. After doing 30 minute drawings a day traditionally it's nice to do something digital.
I think the thing also is that most folks really put their eggs in one basket on one website and not spread out or aware that there are different rules on many sites many may be similair but there are some places that have specific rules there.
