American should've just kept my bag on the same flight as I was. The "earlier" flight they put it on got delayed and literally arrived the same time I did, but had to wait an extra hour at baggage claim because that flight had an even longer gate delay 😩
Update: Though my flight touched down and made it to the gate area first, we got sent to the penalty box and the other flight was able to deplane at its gate first 😩
