I am a researcher by nature & profession & am given to understand that science acknowledges that gender identity is an internal, complex experience not fully explained by biology alone. Things don't seem to be as clear cut as you suggest & that's why I'm confused by the hostility.
Your comment is thought provoking, but has no bearing on whether I stand with or support trans people because I do. I don't see every question raised about sex or gender identity as an automatic rebuke of trans people. It is legitimate to have questions about something as complex as these subjects.
