I commute from Alexandria, VA, to Baltimore, MD. In 19 years have dealt with traffic. I have seen accidents. But nothing prepared me for the daily blockade of police and national guardsmen standing in the right lane of a major DC artery, slowing traffic, peering into cars, and pulling people over.

Sometimes, for whatever reason, I'll stop watching a show but eventually return. Never had that feeling about "Mad Men." But "The Sopranos" I watched beginning to end. I guess never really bought into the anti-hero nonsense. That's a term someone came up with so they could root for the bad guy.
Which is why I never finished the show. After two seasons, I'd had my fill of The White Men Behaving Badly Nostalgia Hour.
