Iron Man (which I like!) destroying Speed Racer at the box office feels like a real “two roads diverged in a wood” moment for human civilization.
This is THEIR FAULT for shifting the economics to streaming. Andor-level quality in cinemas would have easily made this budget back on a theatrical run. They're the ones who wanted to dump everything into a bucket and serve it like gruel for one price.
If the sequels and shows had been half as good as Andor, I doubt there would have been this public backlash against the franchise in the first place. Andor has received more unfiltered positivity than I've heard during the entire Disney Star Wars era. Its audience is growing and will keep growing.
I say this as someone who owned every action figure, saw all the prequels and sequels opening day, and considers Empire Strikes Back one of the best films ever. There's more quality per dollar in Andor than any other entry in the franchise. Choose another target for your bullshit hit piece.

I think it's usually taught wrong. Teaching Shakespeare as literature is a recipe for failure, as is teachers and other adults emphasizing that it's difficult. Teach it as theatre, read it aloud, don't preface it as hard. Lead with the jokes and the sex and its appeal to the masses.
Our generation has been tasked with two unique challenges: we can upend traditional narratives more than any generation before us, and also there's an apocalypse coming. The apocalypse is out of your purview, mostly, but you can absolutely find your brand of weirdos and get wilding.
