I'm nearly 30 and, as a postdoc, still considered a trainee. What are we supposed to do when the government essentially says that you spent 3 decades training for a career that shouldn't exist? I don't know how you can recommend people study biology at this point, especially at higher levels.

I hear you! We had same thoughts as I’m retired rn. They have him doing PT, traction & a cortisone/pain med spinal injection. He has seen improvement mostly from traction & therapy
My hubs had something similar. Surgery is usually last resort. So far other options have helped him. Be sure to ask about those or get 2nd opinion if surgery needed

Exactly! I am a retired RN as was my mom. Still had my handful and that was before covid and the latest cuts to support.
Yes, same. My kids are all graduated now but When they left for college my caregiving increased. My father passed 5 yrs ago after long illness and mom diagnosed with Alzheimer’s during same period. I had to go live with them for 1.5 yrs. Thankfully my brother moved to be close to mom.
