I'm enjoying the book but the author is trying to walk a fine line and not always succeeding. I get that she is trying to seem relatable and excuse why she is still there, but after a few stories of comical mixups it seems less like she is a mislead idealist and more like she's a little dumb, maybe?

This version of the framework is more user friendly in its language, but also tested against legal standards that are applied by advertising standards councils globally. This opens up some really interesting questions about the limits of legal approaches compared to other sources of accountability.
Steph Hill (@sahill.bsky.social) reply parent
But the original framework was based on existing definitions and it was always our hope to refine it using input from practitioners. We set out to test it by recruiting experts to apply it to cases and by comparing it against definitions already in use by advertising standards bodies, for instance.
