Heard many times tonight on CBC that Pierre Poilievre was clearly the most experienced politician among the party leaders as the House of Commons started up again today. I don’t think I heard them mention that it’s because he’s the one who’s never had ANY other job. And still no security clearance.
I think I will use this.
CBC Radio One World Report led this morning with Kirk’s wife declaring about how she will bring fire down on all those (plural) who shot him. Then they followed with Pierre Poilievre saying how the discourse lately makes him fear for the safety of himself and family. I shut the radio off.
I can blame Trump for trading on that apathy and stoking the ignorance. It isn’t leadership, it’s just a never ending con.

I'm not convinced that Trump knows what a deal is. He doesn't know how or when to hold firm, how to negotiate a compromise, how to strengthen his bargaining position. He's actually quite awful at it. He enjoys "dealmaking" because in his head it's synonymous with "bullying people."

I think we are realizing this has to change. Universities and hospitals are working to attract talent in Canada and around the world. The US is not only isolating itself but actively rejecting expertise.
Other countries are actively recruiting American scientists and other experts. Science is not going to stop because Donald Trump and FRK have no clue what they are doing.
