But he did have 40 or so people working for him. It wasn't just a one-man operation. Rosenstein didn't help

Yeah. If we play it out, and Mueller had done what I wanted him to do and declare Trump had obstructed justice, allowing Garland to bring obstruction charges, the Supreme Court would have let Trump off the hook like they did with the other two cases brought by Garland. SCOTUS is the country-ender.
