Yes, in normal times that is true. Also, the Constitution is meaningful and the President “takes care” that laws are followed. But this is in no way normal times.

When my youngest, (of 4), graduated HS in 2017, I said, with no forethought as I laid in bed, thank you God they all made it out alive. I didn’t realize until that moment that weight was on me. I was stunned. No parent should ever have that worry or that feeling. Ever.

The judge didn’t take any guff from the gov’t lawyer either. She called them out for doing this in the dead of night on a long holiday weekend, she asked them several times if her orders were clear to them- do I have to put this in writing? Made them call the gov’t during the hearing for answers.

Boy do I hear this. I’m 67 yrs old, barely 100lbs, and STILL criticize myself like I’m a teen. My stomach, small breasts, (rockin’ the a-cups, I tell myself). I too do my best not to do that or to judge another woman’s body. It’s worth breaking the habit, we women have to stand up for each other.
He also said that the Big Awful Bill is “wildly popular.” I don’t think he knows what those words mean.
It’s honest work to be sure. Perhaps they could pay the homeless to do that work, making it a first step toward gainful employment? Unfreeze DC’s budget so the city can hire their own workers?

While that is true, our “well regulated militia” are each state’s National Guard, the 2008 decision, (DC vs Heller), gave individuals the right to have firearms “for protection.” So the right wing has since taken that to the extreme we see now.
I remember learning about this as a cautionary tale, yet here we are dangerously close to this to this again. Look who they just confirmed to the 9th circuit.

When I was a child I read a book over and again about Harriet Tubman called ‘Freedom Train’, and could hardly believe her story. Here I was, an 8 yr old white girl from a Philly suburb, and Harriet Tubman was my hero right alongside our Founding Fathers. She still is, 60 yrs later.

Attorney General Bondi sent me a letter last week. It purports to notify me that Washington state “has been identified” as a “so-called sanctuary jurisdiction” — on grounds that her letter makes no effort whatsoever to explain.
My sister said, back in 2015, “he’s nothing but a street rat. Always has been, just a filthy street rat.” We grew up near Philly and heard stories about him then- back in the 80s.
