It was a slow burn and I think she was skating quite close to dragging it out a bit, but overall I enjoyed it. Great alien ecosystem.
Well this was fun. Quite a fresh approach to time travel, with some related bleeding through between past and present, with the future interfering too. Lots going on for a novella. Nice. 🪐📚

The treadmill screening of ‘THE LONG WALK’ took place, where every person had to walk on a treadmill faster than 3MPH for the whole movie. If they stopped, they were escorted out of the theater.
A rewatch of Prospect reminded me again how smart and economical the script is, how good the acting, and how great the worldbuilding, plus the details of space capsules, medic kit, biomatter mining details, etc. Much better than most big budget films. Very highly recommended.

Finished Aldiss’s ‘Greybeard’ today - easily one of my top 3 novels of the year to date. I thought that ‘Hothouse’ & ‘Non-stop’ would be hard to beat, but I can see why many class this as his best realised novel. Beautifully structured with an engaging cast of finely drawn characters. Superb book.
One I must reread, has been years and years. I recall enjoying it, but really none of the details.
