Come on BlueSky, why can't we remove followers? I see people asking for it as far back as a year ago. I shouldn't have to permently block someone just to remove them as a follower. If you're not going to allow this, then you need to implement a "followers need approval" function.
Blocking anyone posting anything political was the best move. My feed is starting to fill up with cats and space stuff again.

You're describing most other psychologists. His appeal is that he's telling people what they want to hear, where real therapy takes effort and is unbearably hard. What we need to do is start teaching kids at a young age the value of self discipline. The value of work now for reward later.

I've had two System76 laptops, one lasted 8+ years, and so I bought another. When in issue with an update caused me to be locked out of my harddrive, their support spent literally hours online with me until it was fixed. Apple doesn't deserve any more money.
It's up to you to understand & enforce your boundaries, or you'll always feel drained and frustrated. if you rely only on other people to be kind & considerate to your needs, you might be waiting a long time.

Only through strong self love, self esteem, or at least strong external support, it is extremely hard to change who you are or how you've been raised.
If we are in an environment where the people around us agree with us, or only offer negativity about our choices, the mind has no incentive to make the monumental effort of change. Especially when there is strong research showing we make some decisions before we are even conscious of them.
While we always have the capacity to do so, things ingrained in us from a young age are incredibly hard to change. Think deep deep wheel ruts that require massive effort to get out, and a misstep to fall back in.

What is the alternative? If you live in a democracy, and the people voted for the dictator, you give them the dictator. Is it distasteful, yes. Is it bad for the country, yes. But that's democracy, doing literally anything else would be hypocritical.
It's not even a difference of political opinion if they do think you are human and deserve to exist. The fact they think ANYONE, even one person, shouldn't exist for any economic, religious, or bat shit crazy idea they have, is reason enough to never speak to them again.
