It is September 1st. It is also my first September. Just sayin’.
We just got home, 7 hours after leaving this morning. We stopped and had fun along the way, but it was still a long day in the car. The last 2 hours, I looked “done,” but now that we’re home…I won’t get out of the car. Doin’ things my way.
Our drive today has been fun. We took the scenic route to see the sights (beautiful fields + farms) and smell the smells (stinky “”manure), and we stopped to buy veggies and visit a park.
My day started with something called “breakfast in bed” and it was delicious!
I’m a big boy now so, for the first time, I got to sleep uncrated in the hotel last night! I had trouble deciding where to settle so I divided my time in a few comfy spots on and off the bed. Freedom is fun!
I had the bestest visit w hubro. I miss him but after sniffing out the campus, I approve. He’s thinking of studying biochemistry so this is where most of his classes are held. It’s on the other side of campus from his dorm which is why we needed to bring his bike up. Bonus visit!
After dinner last night, we did walkies all around hubro’s campus. I got to see where he eats (smelled yummy) and where his classes are (smelled smart) and I did some wall walking and posing.
We had sushi for dinner last night. WE did. M+D+hubro ordered a “sushi boat for 3” which turned out to be enough to ‘feed an army’ so I got some fish, too!
Hamilton College has a beautiful campus. When we got there, hubro took us for long walkies…in the woods! It was beautiful and I got to do explorings. I may have gone off trail and sniffed some seedy plants, maybe.
*sigh* I’m not happy bc we’re heading home and hubro is staying at school, BUT we had the best visit. I’m gonna post pupdates to catch you up.
I’m usually a good car traveler but M+D say I’ve been a little ratfink this trip. To prove them wrong, this is me (now that we’re just minutes away)…

Our first rest stop was at a gas station that had a Dunkin’. I was thinking pup cup, but M+D said it’s too early for a pup cup. I said I’m sure it’s pup cup time somewhere in the world right now… 1/2 🧵

👀 LOOK WHAT I DID AT THE DOG PARK! 👀 My 1st time up + over I was scared. My 2nd time I wasn’t so sure I wanted to do it. My 3rd time I knew I could do it and started to like it. After that Mom removed my leash and I did it all on my own on her command! Yay me! 🎉😀👏🐾😀🎉
No one was at the dog park so I got to “try it out.”
We’re going to check out a dog park in the town next to ours. We’d need a permit so I can’t go in to play today but I’m still excited to see it.
Just got home from a meet-n-greet at a new doggy daycare (just to have options). I was a very good boy, made a bunch of new frens + they said I’m welcome any time. They also do something called grooming and I heard the lady mention my “feet and fanny.” 😳 WHAT is that all about!?
Back on the job at Dunkin’ this morning doin’ my meetings-n-greetings. A friend of Mom’s was there so she hung out with us a bit. She didn’t share her donut but I got scritches.
Mom says I’m being a “tornado of turmoil” tonight. Why would she say that?
We’re going out and about to run a few errands.
Mom + I did some work on the patio at Dunkin’ this morning. She made calls + had coffee, and I did some greetings + we shared an egg/cheese snack wrap, then my pup cup fren came out to change the window signs so I snoopervised to make sure he hung them straight.

On our way back, we were crossing the bridge and guess what…I wanted to go in! I like streams. It’s just swimming in the lake that’s beyond me (for now). Mom said ok to muddy paws bc it’s #NationalDogDay so I got to do splorings - what fun!

This picture tells the “tail” of why my stuffed puppy fren needs surgery - again. Mom blames me and calls it evidence. I have a different version of events and call it “tail spin!” 😂
On our walkies in town today, we stopped at the 9/11 Memorial to remember those who were lost and to celebrate the heroes who gave so much to help. Since Mom grew up in the NYC area, she knew people who lost their lives and a few survivors, too. Never forget.

It’s been a while since we came here and my frens at Barnes&Noble Cafe have missed me, so…WHOA!
We stopped so Dad could run a quick errand. I was so good while waiting and watching everybody that Mom forgot I was in the car! She says I’ll get an extra treat for being such a good boy. This could be big. Barnes&Noble Cafe has pup cups! 🤞🐾

I didn’t go in the lake today, but M+D brought me down to the water just to sit and watch the (scary) splashies.

This is me now. We just got back from lunch. My new “thing” is not wanting to get out of the car, only the SUV and only when we come home. M+D can’t figure it out. They also can’t lure me out and if they try to come in to get me, I make it hard for them to catch me.

I’m recovering from 2 days at doggy daycare and it’s raining so this is basically my plan for today.
Thank you, frens, for guilting Mom into picking me up early from my sleepover stay. I’m floofy and smell like flowers after my bath, but it’s ok bc we had time to stop at Dunkin’ and I got some egg+cheese snack wrap!
I have 2 pieces of distressing newses: 1. I will be getting a bath before being picked up to go home in the morning. 2. I won’t be stopping at Dunkin’ bc Mom has a work call. Things need to change. If I’m going home to a ‘no-hubro’ house, I need good newses!
