The actors did their best with a very the poor disappointing adaptation and simplification of the plots. Some changes are expected but the plot is far removed from the book without mentioning the changes to characters. How can an author agree to such butchery beats me.

TMC Entertaining but butchered by the many deviations from the book. Aside from Bogdan, interesting to see what will happen in a sequel, Joyce turns out to be a baker but not a hint of her wonderful diaries where her real character is revealed. As a 6 episode drama it would have worked perfectly.
