This is what I assume Kraut means, but it’s sadly far from a reality. In Austria Eastern European countries are very much seen as lesser places, even to the point of mamy assuming education and things like infrastructure are shit compared to Austria, when in fact they are ahead in many ways.

So to me it absolutely seems plausible that _movement_ can be recognized at a much higher frequency than, say, 30 or 60 “frames” (impressions?) per second, since it’s by definition not the same eye cells reacting to it at their refresh capacity. But I’m just an interface designer, no scientist. 🤷♂️

(I’m sure you know this, just adding my thoughts) Cones and rods react at different speeds already (30 vs 200ms), and I’d assume it’s not all of them reacting simultaneously and in sync. If light “flashes” across the eye, left to right, I’d absolutely expect the cones to go off one after another.
