Which countries are people considering? I'm genuinely curious. I've heard from friends in U.K./Ireland that if the U.S. goes, it will take the world with it. Granted, they have family members in banking, the arts, etc., which may affect their perspective.

Yoga With Adriene on YouTube has great nervous system practices. They really, really help. Try to make coffee dates if you can, and let friends treat you if they offer. It's a lot.

Don't blame this on young people, please. Us oldies let way too much slide for safety and stability (understandable as young boomers and elder GenX have had a front seat to decades of decline, layoffs, violence, and rapid cost of living increases). We've been on this path since the 1970s.
