In my "applying to be on TTRPG streams because ive decided I want to be in that space" era.
Then I got made fun of in school because nobody believed me about Blonde Goku and the Green guy that isn't Piccolo. Which, to be fair, "ive seen it, i have it on a movie, but it's at my grandma's farm in another city and im not allowed to take it home" is a pretty hard sell.
My aunt brought me episodes of anime she recorded when she lived there. It was like 2.5 episodes of Dragon Ball Z, the episodes where Cell becomes perfect and fight Vegeta and Trunks. I watched that in japanese no idea what it was the summer before DBZ started airing in English.
I hope the new Spaceballs movie pulls a Goat Simulator, and they release Spaceballs 3: Under New Ownership, with a bunch of references to Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money, a movie that doesnt exist. Then they can also sell box sets of Spaceballs: A Trilogy in Two Parts.

Some of the best world building I think I've ever seen is the Delicious in Dungeon concept of healing potions and magic just rapidly speeding up the healing process, so you experience incredible pain and itching as you feel days/weeks of healing in seconds/minutes.

Its wild how many people think a character being "the chosen one" means they're the most powerful, best at everything, most special person ever. It just means they're destined to do a thing. A Chosen One can be really bad at most things and still end up being the one to do the important thing.
Its the lamest virtue signaling, primarily because its really them trying to claim a celebration of civil rights won and activism for civil rights still being fought for is somehow less important than begging men to go to therapy month
Straight men dont want to go to therapy for the same reason they get upset about Pride. There'd be an increase in gay men if they went to either.

I'm so, so tired of seeing people say "the animation is trash" about anime when what they mean is the art style, and its not even a bad art style its just different from what they like. Animation = the effect of the illusion of motion. Art style = character designs, color space, overall aesthetic.
It just occurred to me how many of my favorite anime are really just about someone fist fighting God.
The hardest part of being a creative is figuring out what creative project to work on. My classic Winnie the Pooh/Cthulhu book? My latency based sidescrolling platforming game? My pokemon inspired necromancy monster collecting game? My TTRPG system? My fantasy setting? Choice paralysis sucks.
I am 90% sure Crunchyroll gave Solo Leveling anime of the year and best main character specifically because it doesn't deserve it, and they knew the backlash would just be a massive amount of free publicity at people, rightfully, calling out the bad choice. The anime awards are just rage bait.
Especially for a crrator your size, someone with more than 50k followers should have access to a human help line for issues like this especially.

About 4 years ago, a show set in Vancouver was made. Can't remember which, some drama sitcom thing. They filmed it in Edmonton because Vancouver had so many productions going on they couldn't get the locations they'd need in the timeline they needed.
Me: I think I should pursue voice acting, I'm going to put together a reel and some samples. The universe: nice goal you got there. Be a real shame if you had respiratory illnesses bouncing around your family for two straight months making doing voices or just speaking normally cause coughing fits.

Capitalism is so great. It's so awesome to have fantastic book, video game and web series ideas while perpetually being too busy and too burnt out because of work to make progress on any of them.
To be fair, the fans of her books generally seem to be people who don't actually read books, and probably didn't read hers.

They should make the story planned for The Acolyte season 2 into a video game, let us play as Qimir, give it some gritty fluid combat, something like For Honor, or Arkham Asylum.

It is so hard to be a fan of D&D groups. How am I supposed to keep up with Critical Role, Dimension 20, AND Worlds Beyond Number, when they're putting out 8-15 hours of content a week and I've got 6 hours of free time.

I feel you, my job for the last few years was dealing with defective PC parts. I got my GPU dirt cheap because it went through 3 different customers computers causing problems that didn't happen when I tested it on my systems. haven't had any problems with it in my computer at all.

Sounds like it's probably a power supply issue, definitely suggest getting that replaced because if it is, it can lead to other components being broken as well. And they're relatively cheap now

A year ago, I was in California, on my first trip outside Canada, the biggest thing I've ever done. I spent a week hanging out with a whole bunch if my mutuals I've known online for 5 years, and it was one of the best experiences of my entire life. I love my friends, and I miss you all so much.

I want to play D&D again. It's been a decade since I played in my last campaign. 11 sessions where I failed every single thing I tried to do. Not every roll, I succeeded my death saves while trying to kill my character. It was fantastic.

The Frieren vs Solo Leveling debate has made me realize that there isn't a single anime community. There is the Anime community, who appreciate Anime. And there is the Shonen community, who appreciate big fights and literally nothing else.
How does one get in to voicing side characters? I know my voice, I know my range. I don't expect to be cast as the lead in an anime or anything. But I'd like to be the guy saying one liners in the town. Or the shop keeper. The sidekick to a villain. Some monsters. How do you get in to that?
