Even though I didn't have food for the magpie today, I did tell them how beautiful they are, and how much I value their friendship. If lovely corvids, singularly, keep approaching me in a weird way, I'm grateful, whether they're a scary message from the gods or otherwise. They still deserve peanuts.
-I didn't always have food with me, but decided that the best thing to do with an omen or portent is to befriend them. Even omens and portents get hungry. I started with my parrot's leftover food, but they weren't keen, so I bought posh peanuts. Mum is ill too now, so I should up the peanut quota.
The singular magpie hopped up to me earlier, as various singular magpies have done *every* day I've left the house since my Dad was first in hospital at the beginning of April. I apologised for not bringing peanuts out with me, and asked if they prefer the term "omen" or "portent"-

Road rage was massive in the tabloids between ‘96-‘98. The Noye case was absolutely the first big Road Rage case in ‘96 (the single came out in ‘98), but because it took so long to identify where he was and then extradite him, it wasn’t until April 2000 that he was found guilty.
The other big alleged road rage case in ‘96 was the Tracie Andrews case, which happened after Noye. It turned out in that instance that it was very much not Road Rage. That was actually the incident Cerys was inspired to write the song by, with all trial activity completed by the song’s release.

Since a local woodland graveyard of Nuns was either exhumed by badgers and/or the council recently, Tiny Niece suspects all woodlands of harbouring bones. We found lots of mysterious broken structures and massive rusted water tanks, but no graves, as far as I'm aware.
Took Tiny Niece on a long walk in the woods, looking for graves (her hyperfixation - small, neurodivergent goth) and it was brilliant. Her favourite bit was a sentient apple tree. A girl stood at the foot of it, and a voice from above- a hidden dad in the branches- offered us apples: a talking tree.
