As long as you're painting your bare plastic, you're doing great! I have been really liking using contrast paints as washes recently. They don't darken down the area as bad and I have better control over how they dry. Experiment with new stuff :)

I finished painting a kitsune ninja from Bushido Risen Sun! This was like a two day project overall so I'm very happy with the results. The models in Bushido are really spectacular and I'm excited to paint more! For these kind of simple paints I like doing black bases to give a board game vibe

In shooters, tbh, I'm not very good. I'm not a fast aimer, I don't have the twitch reflexes, and I get caught by surprise a fair amount. If I'm playing a support for a team, I can take advantage of others' skills while still contributing and making them even stronger
Also in a game with queue times, you have a way faster queue as a support! For healing in MMOs you have lots of little micromanaging stuff that feels really good when you're in a flow state. Like healing while doing movement mechanics feels really great.
I get more joy out of winning than I do getting sick kills. People appreciate me. Nobody ever complains if you're playing a supporter. You have unique abilities. It's generally pretty low skill floor to be useful. You can win some situations that would otherwise be impossible without your support

This was my project for yesterday which took ALL DAY Getting a new storage unit for my paints and hobby supplies and then organizing and inventorying my paints. I put a bead in each one to help with paint mixing and then dotted the paint on the cap to make it easier to see the color
