I got up to a game in Feb., 2025. It was a weird vibe - the arena is clearly in disrepair and behind the times. That said it was like entering a time warp where I was back in college again, going to games. Absolutely nothing has changed, except for the prices, which absolutely suck.

It's slightly better than the booty-cheeks brown, but I'm also not a 5950 person (unless low profile). I'd look for something more in the 9twenty 39thirty style, though I have a couple of 9seventy hats, and those are actually nice.

What I have found is that those who are consistently engaged in class, taking notes and occasionally asking questions, do very well. I also weight exams differently so that the first one is the lowest. Those who incorporate feedback tend to do better on subsequent exams.
To help with that I give students a review sheet that includes that larger essay question they will have to write - they know exactly what it is at least a week ahead of time. I also give them hints on the other parts. I think that helps those who are anxious.
Well, at least the long trip back to Stuttgart will be enjoyable for all those away fans who made the trip up. Is there a Nachtzug or are all those fans hanging out in the Hbf until 5:00 AM?

I went back to these last year. The results were staggering- students who were regularly doing well on take-home assignments completely imploded on in-class exams.

These same debates about genocide happened 20 years ago in Sudan. If another country decides Israel is committing genocide they are legally obligated to intervene under the Geneva Convention. If they say it isn't clear, then they don't have to address the intervention question.
This is where I would urge everyone to read Christopher Browning to understand how the decision to commit genocide emerged. Ordinary Men is his most famous, but Origins of the Final Solution is the most comprehensive to understand how a genocide emerges and (in this case) its connection to the war.
FWIW, I took a number of classes on genocide in grad school, and I read a lot of Bartov. He grapples with the meaning of terminology, and I think his evolution on the question is important. My advisor was Weitz, and I always wonder what he would have to say about this. My suspicion is he’s agree.
