Today my Bird of the Day is the most fearsome bird out there if only to small bugs. Tyrannus Tyrannus or the Eastern Kingbird. This one was in south western Wisconsin just keeping an eye on things. 🪶 #itsabird #kingbirds #nokings

Today my Bird of the Day is the Eastern Wood-Pewee. Found at the Farm this weekend where there was a lot of great folks getting together to juggle. I’d like to wish a happy birthday to one person that was present and another that was celebrating closer to home. #itsabird 🪶 🎈

Today my Bird of the Day is the American Robin. It’s a Mary Poppins kind of day where I just kept thinking I could fit all the things into today without any reality of the time it would take being considered. Just a theoretical it’ll fit kind of thing. 🪶 #itsabird

An orange breasted black headed and grey backed bird facing toward the camera from fresh spring grass. Mary Poppins featured an American Robin in the original film despite it taking place in the uk where the robins are much cuter and a completely different type of bird.

Today my Bird of the Day is the Cedar Waxwing. This young bird was looking down over the path and looking forward to the weekend, probably. 🪶 #itsabird

A brown bird with black mask and yellow belly and yellow tail tips. Its young age determined by the lack of the reddish wing tips seen on adults. It probably actually hates the weekend with all the people in its habitat but who is to say what birds think. Not me, but it’s so much fun anthropomorphizing animals. I nearly had one on Blaisdell when a car was in the bike lane which is divided by concrete and they TRIED TO PASS ME. Glad you’re okay and I hope you heal quickly!

Nope, this is a goldfinch. The yellow belly is a woodpecker that looks a lot like a downy.
