There are survivors reading this who are in the position of being told to seek help for their PTSD-- from the very institutions & organizations that caused their PTSD. We need (way) more trauma recovery services not affiliated with major medical institutions or the military.

Asking for help is not just complicated for trauma survivors because of our "trust issues." It's also complicated because our culture's attitude toward & poor understanding of trauma means few people in the world know how to realistically support a survivor who does reach out.

This is the burden on our NHS of non-hospitalised #COVID infections and the more that catch reinfections the more that will go onto need help for chronic health problems. Risk is cumulative, so the more times you catch this virus the higher your risk is.

This is from a leading #Longcovid expert. Risk of death lasts a year after any infection. Risk of all the below chronic health conditions lasts 3 years ( but note that was the length of the research, so could be longer?). Wear an ffp2 in addition to vaccinating and ventilated rooms.

People who develop CPTSD in adulthood (yes, it happens-- a lot) are most often victims of coercive control & systematic deception by people or organizations they trusted. Coming to terms w/ that kind of trauma involves processing grief, disbelief, & shame.
