btw it IS important to know the difference between straight up not enjoying stuff vs not enjoying stuff because you feel like you're not good at it. one strategy is to get good at something you hate and then it will become very clear haha. finding your groove does take time and that's okay!

Most of my learning is done on my own through either experimenting or studying other artists' work, but working closely with a teacher is the bestāyou get personalized feedback, you learn what you didn't know you didn't know, and someone else GETS it. #KidLitArt

The Wild Robot series is great (the movie covers the same ground as the first book but is a little different voice-wise). The Dragons in a Bag series might be good as audiobooks. Upside-Down Magic. And my kid and I both got a kick out of the Ramona books when he was that ageāthey mostly hold up!

I agree with this. I think our best defense against the things we love being slopped up by AI is explicitly, vocally, repeatedly rejecting it. I get how it would feel too confrontational for some peopleās comfort but at a certain point āavoiding negativityā just becomes avoidance.
