I was really lucky and my job let me go into negative PTO while I grieved. He was my best friend.

Oooo so exciting! I try to up my exfoliating and lotioning game prior to a tattoo. Other than that, I always bring a snack, usually trail mix. I find it has the perfect mix of sugar, fat, and protein.

Both. It's nice to see everything come together in big and little ways, but maybe fine tuning more? Seeing all the itty bitty dots connect is like 🤌 What about you?
I'm going to see where it takes me! I hope it kind of makes the editing process more streamlined. I spend several drafts just figuring out how I want the plot to go. And then several more cinching it in.

#LateNightWrite I read widely and I write widely. I feel like I never know the genre of a project until I'm finished with the 1st draft. I've gone from a police procedural, to horror, to a cozy mm romantasy. I feel like each foray into a new genre has earned me new skills.
The true amount of drafts a project goes through is unknowable. More than three, less than twenty. I think it's my pantserness.

Ouf, it's awful. My energy is eventually summoned by the doing, but it be taking its time. Gotta keep at it, torturous minute bte minute.
I think it depends on the wall. Like a wall in the manuscript you're already writing? Just keep banging at it, word by word. Water will wear away concrete eventually. But, like, if it's a wall stood between zero and one...gotta dig into those sources of inspiration.
