He ate nothing but steak for about a year. Took him a long time to notice it wasn't doing anything. By the time he went back to the doctor it was no longer treatable. He died not long after. This misinformation costs lives and for *what*.
My step-mom's brother got stage 1 kidney cancer a couple years ago, not sure the exact timeframe. Very treatable, they caught it early. But he didnt trust doctors or mainstream media. He found a health blog saying that cancer feeds on sugar, and that cutting it from your diet starves out the cancer.

Really dislike y'all normalizing people "adopting" wild animals. It's not safe for the animals or the family.
I had, have, and continue to have *zero* interest in the game itself, but the community was awesome. Got legitimately heartfelt goodbyes from many of the players when I left the shop. There's some weak points in the community, but I feel it gets a disproportionately bad rap.
Quick anecdote to say that when I was working at an LGS, the YuGiOh community was massive and constantly gracious to me and the rest of the employees and clientele. We'd cap at 40-ish players for weeklies for seemingly no reason but everyone just seemed happy to have a judgment-free place to play.
