The best thing I’ve done for my mental health recently is go on TikTok and watch Macho Man Randy Savage promos so much that the algorithm just feeds them to me. It is high art and I need the distraction.

Yeah, there were a lot of feels when I had to set down S&B but I am so proud of the things I made and the way I navigated the relationships in this space. I feel like I made something no one else has managed to copy and I treated people with respect along the way. No regrets.
I will always be grateful! And also, I get it! When I started I never imagined anyone would buy more than one, if that. It was a hell of a ride and maybe one day I will be able to handle doing it more regularly again. But I’m very proud of the work I did and the people I touched💚
New job is great and feel very fortunate to still get to do woodworking. Is it as satisfying as making my own things? No, but I am less stressed and I spiral less. The last year of Staff and Branch was a little rough.
Oh, I realize that sounded more woe is me than I meant. It is more fair to say it became increasingly difficult to find new folks with the disposable income I needed to keep me afloat. I get it, but it just got too hard to keep going.💚
I haven't "closed shop" officially, but I had to find a different job in February and have had one small shop update since. Don't know what that means for the future, but for now I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to dice boxes, and largely people seem kinda over them. It was a good run!
I am well! Adjusting to a post dice box world, but there are advantages to not grinding every waking minute hoping to get noticed. Sending my love to you and yours💚
