At least looking around apparently one of the better 3D scanners is in the 500 dollars ish range now. My ass can't afford it, but given they were in the thousands plus when I looked last it's nice to know.
I mean literally, he scanned it, cleaned up the scan (which is a talent I DON'T have, so that was interesting) printed it and painted it yellow so it's a "Super Sonic" now. It's not like a lost wave of some figure line.
It was some 90s Sonic the Hedgehog figure that even the toy fair picture just looked like a repaint so...if you have a 1000 dollar 3D scanner since it's too expensive to get a used one, yes I guess you "saved" this rare artifact.

After what feels like decades, I finally finished this! Will repaint the boots at some point I wanted to highlight that I did sculpt soles on the Happy Meal toy but I should have used different shades of red paint. Not a biblically accurate solo series Ben, but close enough.
