My mother took my sister and me to see John and Bobby at a shopping center where they were campaigning when we were very young. It seems like yesterday and I'll never forget it. I was traumatized by their murders. The family had so many successes, tragedies , and scandals. I was mesmerized by them.
I'm old enough to remember when certain food was sneered at because it was foreigners food, so we ate sausages with mashed potato and similar bland pommy food because we were proper Aussies. I didn't get to taste Spag Bol until my teens, and even then the sauce was the canned stuff.
