I personally think that most Christians that I've met tend to fall into the sort of Godspell Gospel. The basic historical framework of jesus's ministry with a heaping helping of the less objectionable parts of The sermon on the Mount. The rest.. metaphorical / allegory/parable. Little supernatural.
