That is a very young looking Rob Ramage. I grew up in a town called Sherbrooke... Where those Sher Wood sticks were made. A few of my friends' dads worked making those NHL ubiquitous sticks. Notice the gold ring of Gold Foil? Those were only on NHL bound sticks. Everyone else got silver.
Hey @mtlgazette.bsky.social this is a very well written story. I liked the flow, I liked how the writer got great quotes that told the story from the two players' POV. Sometimes I read a story and feel like the quotes were chosen to support the story, your writer let the athletes tell the story.

Dave Roberts is an excellent manager, and certainly seems to be a quality human. We have so many metrics to value player salaries that often separate personal performance from outside factors. Manager salary is really a mix of wins versus losses with maybe franchise profitability mixed in.
