I’ve become the person that Uber drivers and other travelers confess to when they haven’t scheduled a #mammogram I’m ok with that. My response is “please do. It matters.” And if more is needed “I’m going to be ok because I found out. I want you to find out anything that you need to know.”

You’ve got to be a troll- the people in detention camps in the US and El Salvador are certainly not “sent home” And deportation of an individual requires a set process that includes immigration court. Happy to provide resources, but I don’t think you’re actually interested in the rights of others.
Do you believe that people who have not been charged with a crime should be imprisoned? I don’t.
And that’s where the process has left the constitution behind. Every human must receive the save legal of due process as any other on US soil. That includes actual review of their status. If that’s “too much paperwork…” GOOD. Denying human rights should not have an express lane.

Medical coverage that is dependent on an employer leaves too many people without care. Leaves too many people afraid to lose a job at a time when they can’t safely do that job anymore. We can do better. We must. I
If I lost my job today, I could get an ACA health insurance policy. But if the ACA lost its preexisting condition rules, or was revoked, I’d likely never be able to get an insurance policy again. Cancer is one hell of a preexisting condition.
I’m cared for now because of my job. If cancer made it impossible for me to work, I’d lose the income and the coverage. I’d also lose my employer provided life insurance. Frankly, a private insurance policy isn’t possible for me now. So I have to be able to work.
And still. I know that if I lived in a different rural town, or had a different employer, my story would be so different. If my cancer returns some day, my story could still be very different.
I have adequate healthcare coverage through my employer where I did not feel like I had less healthcare choices due to financial constraints. I could choose treatments for my cancer on the advice of my physicians, not the opinions of my insurer Health coverage for treatment choices should be normal
My employer took care of me financially during and after my cancer treatments. I wasn’t in fear of loss of pay or loss of my job. This meant I could focus on my physical health. Financial assistance during illness should be normal, and not difficult to procure.
I have modern health care facilities near me where nearly all the services I need to diagnose, treat, and recover from my cancer are available. I also someone in my home who can drive on days when I can’t. Availability of services and transportation to them should be normal.
With my cancer journey, my eyes were opened even wider to the disparities of health care availability and likelihood of medical bankruptcy. I’m very fortunate. But services and stability should not be reserved for the fortunate. My experiences should not be exceptions.
A lot has been going on, and I haven’t talked about my personal life much here. So expect some big posts bringing you up to date. Biggest thing to tell you is that I’m now a cancer survivor. My road was much gentler than some, and more difficult than others. It’s not a competition.

I think one of the biggest things is use of currency. Having Apple Pay and/or a credit card doesn’t easily become quarters to use the pay phone.
