I'm ok. Went to the doctor. No head injury. My helmet does not even have an abrasion. I have some theories, but I seem to be ok and I'm really done thinking about it. I'm also now healed up on this road rash side. Just putting it behind me. Sorry to hear about your hand.

The microsound system was the first self-contained modular that made me feel like I could roll up and improvise for any duration of time. I performed at Harvard with it. 4U I can sling on my back and bike anywhere in Boston, but 7U, I can't.
It is bonkers. The backpack is a variation of the makenoise microsound and tape system with a 4ms wav recorder on the final output. I'm not that 'computerless modular' guy, but this thing is a soup to nuts musique concrete studio.
My current setup uses use a Mackie 402VLZ and normal mics and mic cables and stands, but this is heavier, more cables, more complicated etc... Ultimately I'm hoping to connect only one power cable (the modular) and plug the mic directly into the modular.
The idea is to utilize camera/AV mics like the DJI or I also have a single point stereo audio technica, which I can mount on a camera tripod and use a lightweight stereo cable. The pre should be very small to fit in my 4U 104HP 'backpack' case.
I need stereo, so two of them get really wide and I don't need phantom power or XLR. I ordered a Belfaco In amp, but it isn't a mic pre, it is for adding gain to a stereo signal to bring up to modular level. I've also tried USB powering a pocket recorder and using their line outs.

Kinda heading into this semester lookin like a student's fourth-year laptop.
It is unfair of me to project my wishes onto something that is designed for a very specific use case (that is not my use case).
The other thing I'd like to know is if it can record down to DC. If it records CV signals, then I'd eat up a more tracks for sure. If you have the output expander, it is hard to justify no playback, which could be implemented like the 4ms.
It feels silly to record anything other than 24-bit these days, but the signal to noise ratio on anything eurorack is, best case scenario, 80dB if we're being honest with ourselves.

OK. There may be some huge cache files in your library folder, even Ableton itself may be a culprit if there have been crashes that are writing huge amounts of data, like in /Users/[username]/Library/Caches/Ableton/Cache/ or in that area. Sort by size to find big files.

I love processed foods. Oatmeal, for example. Instead of buying raw oats, de-husking by hand and cutting into a coarse oatmeal with steel blades, I can go to the store and buy a preparation of oats that is effectively the same thing. It's a real time saver.
