the future is off the hook 64 (i have never played this game)
they got the building blocks for modular development, like every feature i could ask for in a "game" can be added in, pretty wild. and players were already finding workarounds for certain limitations.
actually i did think they are aware switch 2 can't reach the audience they need
i'm embarrassed to say how much time i played (a lot) some features from v2 i'm surprised weren't there in v1, really adds to the structure nintendo tends to reuse ideas but this thing looks like a thing

i think the nso playtest has potential to be the biggest game nintendo has ever made. it shows nintendo's awarenes of how young people play and the need to reach that audience. the playtest is ambitious, the scale is massive. it's hard to believe something like it can exist.

ya so for tips on shading, simplify as much as possible, starting out with 2 tones. Don't start out doing gradients. and I use a 3d model or photos for reference
This is why I don't like AI use for ANY reason, even if it's just to dunk on AI. Any use takes up resources and energy that could be better used doing literally anything else. Any "good potential use" for AI is annihilated by how much energy it takes to make it. Throw it in the trash, it's no good!

for changes... need less redundant +damage chips. more game-changing or wild abilities. like moonjumping, making clones of yourself, maybe a permanent Kraken. it's not crazy enough for a roguelike. think Neo hacking the matrix.
hmm i played dozens of hours and it's really fun, but story/lore wise i didn't get attached to any themes. The fact it was all a game created by Marina kind of killed the dramatic potential. I really just want MORE. more dialogue, more character interactions, more bosses.
