Look up the Blue Bell pub in Tattershall Thorpe. It was fantastic, very small with low beams and signatures on walls and beams.
went to. The old beams have pennies that the airmen left wedged into to spend next time if they returned. There were many photos, paintings and memorabilia there. The foid was delicious. After we visited Tattershall Castle and RAF Conningsby is visible from the roof. We saw 5 typhoons take off!
This is the Lancaster flanked one hurricane and one dpitfire ( we have seen them many times at many air shows and London flypasts). The hangar is on an active RAF airbase so whilst we were there 5 Typoons took off. The tour lasted 90 minutes, after which we went to a very old pub that the WW2 pilots
Now you have reassured me I can tell you about our day. We both are airplane enthusiasts. This morning we had a guided tour of a hangar containing ghe Battle of Britain Memorial Flight aircraft, ie a Lancaster, 2 hurricanes, 2 Spitfires plus a Dakota. The BBMF fly at displays and flypasts.
