The only way to bring change to North Korea is to keep talking to them. If sitting politicians were meeting with them I would question it. But Clark & Key are not government employees so distant enough that it is just ensuring someone with influence has a civil relationship & can talk to officials.

I think it is good to keep the lines of communication open with Global South countries. Especially ones like North Korea. The USA led western empire is slowly collapsing. Brics is increasing in power. We might need good relationships with these countries in the not too distant future.

My Mum's care worker helps her shower & get dressed every morning. She works 0700 to 8.45pm, 3 hrs off during day. Has every second weekend off, but that's still 12 days in a row. Staff shortages have meant she missed her weekend off: is working 26 days straight. No overtime No pay equity #nzpol

I will say son number 2 was the sole person available to do the stock work 1 week when he was sick. He did short days & interacted with no one. The next week they sent him home for 2 days. But they definitely try to reduce the spread of illness.

I worked in two 1c schools. They changed my life & politics forever. What those families cope with is heartbreaking. KidsCan was phenomenal. My only regret is that I didnt provide more food.

I really wish they would allow kids to work from home when they are still infectious but beginning to regain energy. My 2 sons now work in agriculture. They are encouraged to stay home for longer when they are sick than they were allowed at high school. Employers know the impact of spreading illness

Schools, in general, are shitty employers imo. Lots of support staff are well and truly underpaid. Some have contracts that basically mean they are part time, don't get paid when teachers are on holiday. Few are living wage employers. Teacher aides have a really tough job and deserve better.
