I'm an atheist but I have nothing against prayer. If it comforts & helps people, that's lovely and I'm all for it. But the children killed and injured were in a church, involved in their thoughts and involved in prayers and neither helped them. Sending thoughts & prayers is an empty gesture.

If Newsom wins the Democratic nomination, I will campaign and vote for him, despite my anger. We should praise our elected officials when they're doing good (like Newsom is right now with trump) and criticize them when they're not. That helps keep them representing us as we want them to.
