Iām afraid they will follow RFK jr. One of our York County reps posted on FB recently that MAHA was something 80% of Americans agree with, so that the bubble heās in, and heās not even one of the Freedom Caucus guys. He was also conflating the SNAP soda regulations with the whole agenda.

Two reasons we do well cities: -being around a lot of people not like you, as happens in cities, makes you more open. -itās easier to knock more doors in cities! But yes about rural Dem politicians. Iāve known a lot and theyāre amazing, not least because they can code switch earnestly.

Well, most canvassing is about boosting turnout among those who *would* vote for Democrats if they werenāt too busy with yoga class. If you convince one or two of those per vol shift, it can flip a result. That said, Iāve persuaded Trump voters, mostly with mirrored language. But that takes skill.

Perhaps. Another irony is that the message that the language and method of delivering the message ensures whether or not the message gets through was delivered without much consideration of those things by āāwho was it? Third way? Have not been following that closely.
I mean some do. But for some, talking to real live voters breaks up their worldview uncomfortably.
I find that you learn in real time that you need to use language a voter will understand when talking with them on their doorstep while canvassing. Itās not hard to read their expression of understanding or confusion. Just this week I had a š”moment: thatās why LW folks donāt like to canvass.
