Last year I wrote a piece for the Boston Globe about the horrific customer service Americans are subjected to. Folks - it’s even worse than I could have imagined. You can no longer access you bank or doctors office with a direct call. All calls are now sent to AI, or they lie and force you to wait

My sister was laid off, after her company was acq, a year ago, at age 61. Pursued all kinds of positions, a few interviews, but no job offers. Might as well call it a forced early retirement, but she is not ready financially to retire. Hubby, 70, wants to retire but keeps at it.

A very fun thing to know about NYC is most of us don't have guns. And if you want a gun legally it will take awhile. Like 7 to 8 months. They ask for letters of references and shit. Which means you have to find someone who is willing to say in the record you are someone who should have a gun
