It's no surprise to me that I've had writers block for a time now. 'Veln' is the closest I've gotten to creating as close to my tastes as possible. The new material I have since then, about 16 minutes worth of material, I'm so excited to share eventually. Sometimes it's a long road but that's okay.

Released today in 1998, & really a dark, poetic masterpiece. When I was younger I learned a lot of songs from both this and their other records. But MAYH always stood out for me & always captured that Autumn feel perfectly.

As I recall from the book Dream Brother, there was a sizeable debt to Columbia records because of unproductive recording sessions which was probably pretty stressful & pressuring . When you hear 'Sketches to...' there's definitely enough material to fill an album.

I'm not always sure what atmospheric bm is supposed to evoke but I find soundtracks or some concept albums closest to trying to create a particular mood. But saying something has 'atmosphere' without elaborating...might as well be talking about a restaurant, & even a burger king evokes -something-

It's the issue with anonymity in art sometimes. Like I believe some DS music & other genre artists are just sweet people who are perhaps a bit or very shy about their art or prefer to hide while still releasing. I have that shyness too & I don't talk about my art IRL really but with 2/3 people.
