Social media being an instance of the Internet's promise to allow anyone to publish to the world, often seems like a bad idea, particularly at times like this. Ah, this explains why the US is running away from dealing with climate change. The Swiss murder rate is 0.6 per 100000 people. The US rate is 6.8 per 100000, ergo climate change is going to have to get a lot worse to surpass that figure and prompt some action in the US.
