This should be interesting. I think it will be quite diverse. I know that I don't consider myself Christian, for example, while many (most?) do. Many people I know are even atheist, but still strongly ID as Friends.

This is exactly how I feel. The die is cast. I suppose I could still try to flee the country or try to find a less exposed profession, but at least for now, I choose not. If this is the life I've chosen, I might as well enjoy it while I can.
I have to keep going for as long as I can because people need to see that it's possible to keep going. And yeah, if we're here, we sure as hell ought to live LOUD AND PROUD.
YES. There is certainly no going back. I have been publicly trans since 2005. I've had an unusual amount of support in every important area of my life, thanks to privilege (white, college ed, etc). I've tried to be a voice and lift other voices because so many of us don't have a voice.

I will always be impressed by the logical contortions required to argue that puberty blockers are too irreversible to be allowed, but that it is somehow perfectly fine to force a child to go through a deeply distressing and far more irreversible endogenous puberty.

Haha, I think some of them would find that a refreshing change. A lot of times they are dealing with folks who run out of motivation as soon as they are in a little less pain, so they don't do the exercises except for when they come in.

Yeah, I spent 30+ years trying to just live as a very masculine female bodied person, to make that work, and it didn't. Why should younger people have to endure that because people like this woman and her anti-scientific beliefs want to get in the way?
The problem is, I can't take her seriously because she is completely disingenuous. "The left has been notoriously bad at dealing with gender theory, preferring to see it as the vanguard of progressivism rather than the backlash that it is." This is an absurd statement with nothing to back it up.
