NEWS: A federal judge has ruled that Trump’s deployment of military forces to Los Angeles violated the Posse Comitatus Act, a law that prohibits the use of the armed forces as a domestic police force.
Chicago has a violent crime problem. But local efforts are bringing crime down. It's working. We don't need Trump using crime as a pretext to impose a military occupation on another American city. If we put an armed soldier on every U.S. block, crime might drop. But it wouldn't be a free country.
